Team Nomura

Team Leader: Toshifumi Nomura,
Associate Professor

My team conducts research on ichthyoses and keratodermas, which we hope will contribute to the further understanding of genetic disorders. Specifically, our research addresses read-through treatments, mRNA mutational mechanisms and recombination-inducing mechanisms in somatic and body cells. It’s not easy, and it takes time to get results in these research areas. But Dr. Yuka Ohguchi’s Ph.D. thesis was accepted for publication by the Journal of Investigative Dermatology (JID), and I’m sure we can write even better papers on my team.

All the members are reliable: Dr. Shotaro Suzuki, who works mainly on the team, has my complete trust. Dr. Toshinari Miyauchi and Ms. Mai Takeda have been continuously acquiring new techniques. And Peh Jin Teng joins the team this spring. I’d like to see her develop. We’ll bolster the team and strive to publish in a top journal.
